Performances

The CAC has a resident group of 18 professional performance artists who have given over 750 performances to date (12/2022) in a range of styles and ensemble settings. We have performed at all major festivals in East Africa including Sauti za Busara 2017 and 2018, DOADOA 2016 and 2019, Jamafest, 4CCP, Haydom. We have performed for all 4 currently standing East African presidents, the US and UN Ambassadors, and welcomed former American President Barak Obama to Tanzania as well as performing at tourism events such as KiliFair Karibu Tourism Fair in Arusha, and Tourism Tanzanian S!TE (Swahili Tourism Exhibition).

Traditional Dance Performance

This is a one-hour high energy performance by the 18 full-time professional CAC dancers. The shows feature traditional dances from a minimum of 7 different ethnic groups in Tanzania, plus various types of instrumental music (drums, flutes, marimba, mbira [thumb piano]). This is a must- see to enjoy the excitement and energy of Tanzanian traditional cultures.

Due to Covid 19 we don’t do weekly shows anymore performance are done by arrangement only.

Fusion Performance

The CAC fusion band combines traditional tunes with electronic and traditional instruments in an exciting mix of energy and different instruments. They can also perform with dancers for an extra special show. Our repertoire also includes international covers

Performances on or offsite

Any of the CAC ensembles can perform in our specially designed performance area, or in our informal performance area in the forest for a more intimate performance. Alternatively we can arrange to come to a place convenient to you, at a hotel, conference center, or even at the airport to welcome a special group of guests.
